Earlier today, we rounded up every leak on Xiaomi’s first QLED TV for Indian market Mi QLED TV 4K and now it is finally official. Mi QLED TV 4K aka Mi TV Q1 features a 55-inch 4K QLED panel with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ with a bezel-less design and a metal finish. Mi TV Q1 does look quite premium and is made in India and it is also the first TV in India to ship with Android 10 out of the box.
Mi QLED TV 4K: Design and Display
The new Mi QLED TV 4K comes with an aluminium alloy frame (with a sandblast coating) all around, and with a carbon finish on the back. Upfront, The Mi TV Q1 sports a 55-inch 4K(QLED) with 96% screen-to-body ratio. Xiaomi claims better colours and support for 100% of the NTSC and 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space thanks to the QLED technology and Xiaomi’s fine-tuning.
Mi QLED TV 4K comes with reality flow (MEMC) and Xiaomi’s own Vivid Picture Engine. The Vivid Picture Engine catered to Indian audiences which assure to deliver real-world detail and texture. Besides, The panel supports all major HDR formats including Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG.
Mi QLED TV 4K: Performance
Mi QLED TV 4K runs on a MediaTek (MTK 9611) chipset and has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The MediaTek MTK 9611 SoC which is a quad-core chipset running on ARM Cortex-A55 CPUs and Mali G52 for graphics.
The TV also equips ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) for more enhanced gameplay and xiaomi claims a 5ms input lag at 4K@60Hz. Also, Mi QLED TV 4K features e-ARC (through HDMI) mode to handle better bandwidth.
The TV runs on Android 10 with Xiaomi’s Patchwall UI on top. Users have the option to switch between the two interfaces. The PatchWall software offers a bunch of different features like smart recommendations, kids mode, Universal search, User centre and LIVE channels. Besides, it also has Google Assistant on board, along with support for Chromecast built-in.
Mi QLED TV 4K: Audio
For audio, there are a total of six speakers (4 full-range drivers and 2 tweeters) that collectively offer an output of 30W. Xiaomi claims a sound range of 50Hz to 20KHz and support for DTS-HD audio and Dolby Atmos, in addition to eARC to enable high-quality audio transmission over HDMI.
Mi QLED TV 4K: Connectivity
In terms of connectivity, the Mi QLED TV 4K supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz) and Bluetooth 5.0. It includes 3x HDMI 2.1 ports, 2x USB ports, 1x ethernet port, and 1x audio jack. Lastly, the Mi QLED TV 4K also gets a Mi remote featuring Mi Quick Mute, Mi Quick Settings button, and a Mi Quick Wake mode.
Mi QLED TV 4K: Pricing and Availability
The Mi TV Q1 4K QLED TV retails at Rs 54,999, making it the most expensive 55-inch TV by Xiaomi in India. But considering QLED TV’s in India, it is one of the cheapest among them. It’s only available in the single 55-inch screen size and will take on similar offerings from TCL, OnePlus and more. It will be available across Mi.com, Mi Home, Flipkart and other retail stores across the country starting December 21st.
